Position Overview

As the Assistant Director of Sales – MICE, you will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the Senior Commercial Team to fulfill business objectives and enhance existing client relationships through strategic sales initiatives. Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and motivation of the MICE Sales team, ensuring that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports detailing the performance and activities of the MICE proactive and reactive sales teams.
  • Contribute to the formulation of sales and marketing strategies by proposing, executing, and evaluating relevant initiatives.
  • Work in conjunction with the MICE Sales Office Manager to manage availability and pricing strategies effectively.
  • Lead time-sensitive projects, ensuring effective management and communication to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the hotel's sales and marketing plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and directing sales efforts for the MICE segment.
  • Achieve individual KPIs while guiding the team to reach their targets.
  • Manage a designated portfolio of accounts in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Engage in sales trips and attend industry trade shows both domestically and internationally.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of MICE Sales team members, ensuring robust training and development processes are in place.
  • Regularly review team performance, celebrating successes and redirecting efforts as necessary.
  • Establish clear expectations and ensure adherence to business strategies, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in management meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, particularly Reservations and Banqueting, to enhance guest experiences and strengthen the sales offering.
  • Engage with the Accor HQ Sales team to cultivate existing relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging markets and sectors.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior MICE Sales role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local, European, and international MICE markets.
  • A relevant third-level qualification.
  • A passion for sales and achieving objectives.
  • Proficiency in Opera & Delphi FDC systems.
