A Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer position has become available with our defense aerospace client.

Note: Due to the nature of work, all candidates must be US Citizens

Position: Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer
Pay Rate: $66.85/hr
Duration: 12-24 months with potential for direct hire
Work schedule: 9/80
Clearance: Secret Obtainable

Job Overview
As a mechanical engineer within the Tactical Hardware division, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team tasked with the design, construction, and testing of a torpedo tube deployment mechanism capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.

We invite you to consider this opportunity if you possess any of the following preferred qualifications: Expertise in designing electro-mechanical systems that endure extreme environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature); Proficiency in utilizing CAD software to develop 3D models and technical drawings that comply with ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards; Experience in conducting structural and thermal analyses to satisfy submarine environmental specifications.

Qualifications : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Additionally, requires 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance Requirements : A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is necessary within a reasonable timeframe. Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
