Position Summary:
We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Combat Systems/Weapons/Platform Systems Engineer/Technician. This position involves providing essential support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement system upgrades and enhancements to align with evolving Navy requirements.
2. Conduct thorough analyses and develop Engineering Change Instructions and Proposals.
3. Evaluate installation and system specifications to optimize equipment layout.
4. Perform gap, fault, and performance analyses and present findings.
5. Engage in modeling, simulation, and prototyping to improve existing and new systems.
6. Recommend process enhancements for current systems and operational workflows.
7. Troubleshoot and propose solutions for maintenance and upgrades of Non-Propulsion Submarine/Ship systems, focusing on Combat Systems and associated Weapons.
8. Execute test and evaluation protocols to ensure compliance with system requirements, interoperability, and reliability.
9. Prepare detailed reports and recommendation documents outlining analysis results and testing outcomes.
10. Collaborate with the engineering team to facilitate upgrades to existing weapon systems.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.) is preferred; candidates with substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and Navy Non-Propulsion Electronic-Mechanical Systems, particularly in Combat Control and Weapons systems.
- Proficiency in engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing of complex systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications and tools such as Adobe Acrobat and MATLAB.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Department of Defense secret security clearance are required.

Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of AN/BYG-1 and SWFTS architecture, including hardware, software, and tactical equipment.
- Understanding of Navy/DoD acquisition processes and submarine operational documentation.
- Experience in customer relationship management and integrated product team communication.
