Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Belcan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature)
  • Utilize CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards
  • Perform structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
  • 8+ years of job-related experience OR Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
  • Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
  • Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals
