We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Belcan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions, including shock, vibration, and temperature extremes.
- Utilize CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
- Perform structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Advanced proficiency with CAD tools and experience with ASME standards.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
