About the Role

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Houston. As a contract Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Implement tailored education plans for students with unique learning requirements.
  • Adaptive Instruction: Design and adapt instructional materials and methods to cater to the distinct learning goals and needs of each student.
  • Direct Instruction: Provide personalized instruction to students with disabilities, utilizing various teaching techniques and strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, employing suitable assessment tools and techniques, and make necessary adjustments to instruction.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance student engagement and facilitate learning.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
