Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Program Coordinator to join our team at the School of Science & Technology.

Estimated Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 per year

This is a full-time position that requires excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for working with students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement programs that meet the unique needs of students with special needs.
  • Staff Training and Support: Provide training and support to teachers and staff on special education procedures, laws, and best practices.
  • Student Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and work with teachers and parents to ensure students are meeting their academic and personal goals.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, program effectiveness, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field is required.
  • Teaching Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching special education or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid Texas Educator Certification with special education endorsement is preferred.
Work Environment:

This position is based in an office setting and may require occasional light lifting. Nights and weekend activities may be occasionally required. Moderate travel is also expected.
