Job Overview

At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Special Education Coordinator to work in Houston school-based settings with students of all ages. This role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure appropriate educational services for students.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Special Education Coordinator, knowledge and experience in various special education platforms and software, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure appropriate educational services for students.
  • Serve as a resource person for admission, review, and dismissal (ARD's) committees as needed.
  • Utilize multiple special education platforms and software to document tasks and progress of students, programs, and projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state regulations regarding special education and assessment practices.
