We are seeking an exceptional Special Education Teacher Assistant to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. As a key member of our instructional team, you will play a vital role in advancing the mission of our school by supporting classroom teachers with classroom management strategies and facilitating rigorous standards-aligned curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Classroom Teachers with the implementation of school's systems and procedures, including homework, discipline, transitions, community celebrations, breakfast, lunch, and classroom culture so that our school is structured and highly joyful with a focus on growth.
  • Collaborate with Classroom Teachers to identify areas of intervention or enrichment for small group instruction Teach small group instruction based on students' targeted goals Use a variety of methods to engage students in the classroom Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus-wide initiatives while developing students' character and sense of community in the classroom.
  • Assists Classroom Teachers with the planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for the progress of all students Continuously use assessment data to refine curriculum and instructional practices Attend all campus-based professional development sessions and data analysis sessions Participate in professional growth opportunities as required to maintain awareness of educational trends, management concepts, community involvement, and other educational initiatives.
About the Position

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 48 college hours, be able to take constructive feedback and quickly incorporate it, exhibit innovative and creative approaches, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. A deep belief and commitment to breaking barriers of achievement for students in Houston is essential.

A competitive salary of $**$55,000 - $65,000 per year**, along with benefits, makes this an attractive opportunity for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
