Job Title:

Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will provide instructional support to students identified as deaf or hard-of-hearing (AI) in order to ensure a quality educational program that is based on federal and state standards as well as sound instructional practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction and support to students with hearing loss in various academic subjects.
  • Collaborate with campus teachers to assure that AI students are able to participate in classroom activities with necessary accommodations.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate as a teacher of the deaf/hard-of-hearing or teacher of students with auditory impairments.
Salary and Benefits:
