Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement tailored educational plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student, promoting academic success and personal growth.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective support for students, leveraging your exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, assessing strengths and areas for improvement to inform instruction and drive student achievement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and research-based methodologies in special education, applying your expertise to enhance teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging active participation, creativity, and social-emotional learning among students.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular updates, guidance, and support to ensure a seamless transition between home and school.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, such as special education or a related discipline.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification with required special education endorsements for assignment.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and policies, including ARD Committee procedures and IEP development.
  • Proven ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, leveraging technology and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
