Executive Chef

The Virginian is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee all food production activities and lead operations for the food venue options in our senior living community. This role is responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents, visitors, and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all food production activities, including food preparation, cooking, and baking
- Assist in leading operations for the food venue options in the community
- Ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents, visitors, and guests
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of culinary staff
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food presentation standards
- Manage food costs, inventory, and labor planning
- Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage and the Virginian Leadership team
- Minimum of five years' experience as a sous chef or cook in a senior living community or a similar institution
- Good understanding of food ordering, labor planning, and basic scheduling
- Experience leading and managing a team, with knowledge of teaching policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a solid mathematical background and understanding of measurements and conversions
- Post-secondary courses in restaurant management, nutrition, or a related field, with a degree or certificate from a culinary institute preferred
- ServSafe certification (preferred)

Compensation and BenefitsThe Virginian offers a competitive salary range of $80,000-$100,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, referral program, retirement plan, and vision insurance.
