The Virginian is seeking a Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor. This role serves as the primary leader for several dining venues, overseeing schedules, deliveries, and managing the Food and Beverage department's communication. You will also provide support in various dining areas during staff shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the Dining Room Manager, oversee the aesthetic and operational standards of the dining area and server stations, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
- Efficiently coordinate the seating arrangements for residents and guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Manage work assignments and station schedules for the service team to uphold quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of meal counts, reservations, and additional charges, demonstrating proficiency with the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Regularly communicate with the Dining Room Manager regarding the dining room's operational status.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage to address any food service or staffing concerns.
- Conduct morning inspections of the Market, Dietary, and Kitchen areas to assess staffing levels.
- Provide coffee services for resident events and administrative functions.
- Cross-train with dietary aides to enhance service flexibility.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the Food & Beverage Director.
- Assist with table service and beverage offerings as necessary.
- Engage in cost control initiatives.
- Participate in food and beverage inventory processes as required.
- Attend training and educational sessions as assigned.
- Perform specific duties as directed by your supervisor.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience as a Host/Hostess or Lead Server in a fine dining establishment, club, hotel, or similar environment.
- Availability to work seven days a week, primarily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Ability to interpret and explain the menu, address inquiries, and manage the meal service process.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- Possession of a valid health and/or alcohol compliance card is required.
$60,000-$70,000 annual salary with comprehensive benefits
