Job Overview

Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of Hassan & Sons Inc. This position is dedicated to ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include verifying vendor accounts, maintaining accurate records for invoices and payments, and generating comprehensive reports on the status of accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply corporate policies related to Accounts Payables
  • Accurately process invoices and payments
  • Conduct daily accounts payable transactions
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts

Vendor Management:

  • Reconcile vendor statements and accounts
  • Oversee vendor payments and maintain accurate statements
  • Ensure correct processing of invoices

Utility Management:

  • Review and process utility bills
  • Analyze bills for any discrepancies
  • Maintain a utility tracking system
  • Create and manage utility accounts

Expense Management:

  • Process expense-related invoices and payments
  • Maintain service contracts and tracking systems
  • Review and approve maintenance and garage invoices
  • Verify all expense charges

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of two years' experience in Accounts Payables
  • Solid understanding of Accounting and Management principles
  • Proficient in computer applications and bookkeeping software

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capable of using hands and fingers to handle objects
  • Occasional need to stand, walk, and lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision capabilities
  • Moderate noise level typical of an office environment
