Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret funding agreements and contracts.
  • Establish and manage grant accounts within the financial management system.
  • Oversee grant expenditures to ensure adherence to funding requirements.
  • Prepare and submit financial documentation to funding agencies in line with grant specifications.
  • Create internal reports to monitor grant utilization and budget discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits related to funding.
  • Conduct general ledger accounting tasks associated with grants, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure precise categorization of all grant-related financial transactions.
  • Reconcile grant accounts and address any inconsistencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on grant accounting, ideally within a non-profit or healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
