Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret grant agreements and contracts.
  • Establish and manage grant accounts within the financial system.
  • Oversee grant expenditures to ensure adherence to grant stipulations.
  • Prepare and submit financial documentation to grantors in line with established guidelines.
  • Create internal reports to monitor grant spending and budget discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits related to grants.
  • Conduct general ledger accounting tasks associated with grants, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure precise coding of all transactions related to grants.
  • Reconcile grant accounts and address any inconsistencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in grant accounting, ideally within a non-profit or healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
