Job Title: Lead Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

The Lead Direct Support Professional - Behavioral Specialist is a critical role at Mt Olivet Rolling Acres, where you will assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and program implementation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the daily well-being and safety of our clients, while providing adequate supervision and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, including ADLs and mental health supports.
  • Develop and implement daily routines that promote choice and independence for our clients.
  • Plan and implement recreation, leisure, and community activities that cater to our clients' interests and needs.
  • Drive clients to appointments and community activities, ensuring their safe transportation and participation.
  • Establish and maintain community relationships and friendships for our clients, promoting socialization and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the support team to develop and implement goals, ensuring person-centered services and positive outcomes.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and diets as prescribed, maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality.
  • Prepare meals and complete household maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
  • Conduct house quality improvement assessments and address identified issues to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Ensure adequate supervision of clients, including remaining on shift until a replacement employee arrives.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and families, using clear and respectful language.
  • Complete mandatory training and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General.
  • Must be able to successfully complete company's basic job skills assessment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurance if using a company vehicle.
  • Must complete Medication Administration training and pass regular medication administration assessments.
