Position Summary
EIP is in search of an Accounting Specialist to become a vital part of the expanding Finance team, which operates under the leadership of the CFO and Controller.

The Finance team engages closely with EIP's investment, operations, and investor relations teams, maintaining direct communication with EIP's leadership.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and workbooks for EIP-managed funds.
  • Monitor and address investor inquiries, collaborating directly with the investor relations team during active fundraising efforts.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices, along with allocations for limited partner investors.
  • Support the quarterly portfolio company valuation process and compile quarterly portfolio monitoring data for senior management.
  • Oversee cash monitoring and liquidity management, including the preparation and tracking of investment funding and distributions.
  • Prepare journal entries for cash, accrual, and amortization.
  • Track, maintain, and enhance controls, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with fund service providers, including audit, tax, custody, valuation, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities and analyses as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with outstanding academic performance.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience; experience in fund accounting (venture capital or private equity) is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • CPA designation or progress towards it is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with Investran is preferred.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, learn quickly, and communicate clearly.
