Position Overview:
The Senior Accounting Specialist will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for a variety of essential accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct bank account reconciliations.
2. Prepare and input journal entries related to fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts.
3. Assist in all phases of month-end closing and related analysis.
4. Generate Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for executive review.
5. Manage Sales and Use Tax obligations.
6. Oversee the complete cycle of Accounts Payable on a weekly basis.
7. Reconcile Payroll transactions.
8. Maintain organized physical accounting files.
9. Prepare and process daily bank deposits.
10. Handle the processing and mailing of checks multiple times each week.
11. Manage the processing and mailing of overdue invoices.
12. Assist with accounts receivable and billing tasks.
13. Perform additional accounting duties as required.
14. Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and faxes; greet and direct visitors; and undertake other administrative tasks as needed.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.
- Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
