Position Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled HR Assistant Specialist to support our operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is vital in managing employee relations, enhancing talent acquisition, and fostering leadership growth.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in human resources, particularly within manufacturing, and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Act as the main contact for employee relations matters, offering guidance and assistance to both employees and management.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee grievances, ensuring fair and consistent application of organizational policies.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution methods.
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract, retain, and nurture high-caliber talent.
- Facilitate performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support employee development.
Leadership Development:
- Assess leadership development needs and create programs to enhance leadership competencies.
- Advise managers on leadership best practices and effective employee management techniques.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to encourage leadership growth and continuous improvement.
HR Administration:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and current employee records and HR documentation.
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, and communication of benefits to employees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources, focusing on employee relations, talent acquisition, and leadership development.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and must have PeopleSoft experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
