Role Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled HR Assistant Specialist to support our operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in fostering employee engagement, managing talent acquisition, and enhancing leadership capabilities within the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in human resources, particularly in a manufacturing context, along with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement:
- Act as the main resource for employee engagement matters, offering support and direction to both staff and management.
- Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes, ensuring equitable and consistent enforcement of organizational policies.
- Promote a constructive workplace atmosphere through effective communication and resolution techniques.
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the recruitment cycle, encompassing candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Formulate and execute talent acquisition strategies aimed at attracting, retaining, and nurturing high-caliber talent.
- Assist in performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to facilitate employee development.
Leadership Enhancement:
- Assess leadership development requirements and create initiatives to strengthen leadership competencies across the organization.
- Advise managers and supervisors on best practices in leadership and employee management.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to foster leadership growth and ongoing improvement.
HR Operations:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Oversee benefits management, including enrollment processes, claims resolution, and communication of benefits to employees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources, focusing on employee engagement, talent acquisition, and leadership enhancement.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and must have PeopleSoft experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
