Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

As a Golf Services Attendant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding service to our guests by assisting with golf bag and cart management while ensuring a well-organized outdoor service area. You will oversee the inventory and safeguarding of golf carts, pull carts, golf bags, rental bags, and related supplies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain a professional demeanor and courteous interaction with guests at all times while stationed in your designated area.
  • Prepare an adequate number of golf carts to accommodate the day's golfers, including additional carts for special events and needs.
  • Set up and organize guests' golf bags, pull carts, and shoes at least two hours before their scheduled tee time.
  • Welcome golf guests entering the service area, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
  • Maintain awareness of guest movements to provide timely greetings and assistance.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently locate and prepare guests' golf bags.
  • Outline the golf service sequence, including offering refreshments, explaining bag locations, and guiding guests to the driving range.
  • Engage with guests to build rapport, sharing information about the resort's amenities and activities.
  • Provide directions to key locations such as the first tee, driving range, and dining options.
  • Greet returning guests and assist them in navigating back to the designated area.
  • Support pre-round sales initiatives through effective communication.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all service areas, including the cart wash and surrounding environments.
  • Communicate with relevant departments regarding guest concerns to facilitate prompt resolutions.
  • Secure all golf equipment in storage areas.
  • Handle the pick-up and drop-off of golf bags at designated locations.
  • Clean and store golf clubs for guests.
  • Manage the rental club check-in and check-out process, ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Charge and store golf carts according to established procedures.
  • Return golf carts to storage at the end of the day and maintain their cleanliness.
  • Prepare golf carts for use by ensuring all necessary items are stocked and cleaned.
  • Organize and tag guest clubs in the storage area systematically.
  • Assist with inventory management for member golf bag storage.
  • Support large events by managing the transportation of golf bags.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of golf carts as needed.
  • Respond positively to management requests that enhance the guest experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet the operational needs of the resort.

Regular attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Attendance issues may lead to disciplinary actions.

All associates are expected to provide support across departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Any potential conflicts should be communicated to management.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

This position may involve additional responsibilities as determined by management based on the needs of the resort.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary for certain tasks. The resort will provide required PPE, and associates will receive training on its proper use.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a golf-related environment is preferred.

GROOMING STANDARDS: All employees are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance, with specific uniform guidelines provided during orientation.
