Job Overview

Position Summary

The Golf Course Monitor is responsible for overseeing the flow of play on the golf course, ensuring a pleasant experience for all golfers. This role emphasizes friendliness and courtesy while managing the pace of play. Strong interpersonal skills and tact are essential for effectively assisting players and enhancing their experience. The monitor also acts as a communication link between the pro shop and the Starter, adhering to the established policies and procedures of Biltmore Hotel Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the pace of play on the golf course
  • Respond to emergencies and report them accordingly
  • Identify and report any unusual activities on the course (e.g., joggers, pets, unauthorized play)
  • Ensure cleanliness in restrooms
  • Collect litter throughout the course
  • Address customer service inquiries and issues

(e.g., lost items, cart battery problems, beverage requests)

  • Secure the golf course at the end of the day
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • A High School Diploma is required.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in a golf course setting
  • Customer service experience is advantageous
