Overview:

The Pool Service Attendant is tasked with delivering exceptional service to guests in a courteous, attentive, and efficient manner. This role includes receiving and delivering guest orders and processing payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the layout and operations of the restaurant, lounges, and room service, along with the functions of each job position.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menus and current specials in relevant outlets.
  • Provide guests with all food and beverage needs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Pre-bus tables by clearing soiled dishes after each course.
  • Be proficient in operating the Point of Sale (P.O.S) system.
  • Handle cashiering duties, including closing checks and preparing end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and side-work tasks as per station rotation assignments and established checklists.
  • Ensure tables and side stations are well-stocked, tidy, and clean.
  • Maintain beverages at optimal levels (coffee, tea, soda, water, and lemonade).
  • Break down trays of soiled dishes and linens in accordance with established standards.
  • Consistently promote food, beverage, and promotional items to guests.
  • Receive and deliver food and beverage orders while processing payments.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Flexibility with long hours may be required.
  • Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to navigate throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food and beverages.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards, as required by scheduling.
  • Exhibit high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize productivity efforts, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
