Division Focus: The Youth & Family Services (YFS) division collaborates with various sectors including human services and juvenile courts to assist families and young individuals in enhancing their well-being and relationships.

Role Summary: We are seeking a full-time Regional Outreach Worker. This role is pivotal in enhancing public understanding and outreach regarding Problem Gambling within Adult Criminal Justice Services (ACJS) and Juvenile Justice Services (JJS) across the North and Northwest regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both virtual and in-person presentations for community stakeholders, including behavioral health facilities and educational institutions, focusing on gambling awareness, particularly in sports betting.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee outreach initiatives within designated areas, distributing educational materials to combat stigma and promote awareness.
  • Ensure that criminal justice partners are informed about TASC's services for individuals affected by gambling issues.
  • Collaborate with TASC area Administrators to develop and implement referral processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily log of outreach activities, including potential service providers and community interactions.
  • Prepare and present reports on program operations and resource utilization.
  • Assess community needs and opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Engage actively with local communities to identify and secure resources for individuals in need.
  • Facilitate collaboration among professionals to enhance service delivery and community support.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective professional relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred, along with four to seven years of relevant experience.
  • At least two years of experience in program outreach is preferred.
  • Strong independent working capabilities and excellent presentation skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with best practices in gambling, substance use, and recovery support services is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the criminal justice system is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for community engagement.
