Patient Transport Specialist Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the transport vehicle.
  • Arrive on time at designated locations to pick up patients.
  • Assist patients in safely boarding the transport vehicle, prioritizing their well-being.
  • Transport patients and their belongings securely while operating the vehicle.
  • Guarantee that all patient items and documentation are delivered to the intended location.
  • Provide necessary patient care documentation to the receiving facility personnel.
  • Obtain required signatures from patients and healthcare staff.
  • Adhere to company policies and operational protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain patient care documentation proficiently.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Clean driving history with no speeding infractions in the past three years.
  • At least two years of driving experience, with a minimum age of 23.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid (cost covered by the company).

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Full range of motion required for various tasks.
