We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Conner Industries Inc. Key Responsibilities
  • Learn the fundamentals of the industrial lumber business and develop a deep understanding of our products and services
  • Effectively present Conner's manufacturing, service, and quality capabilities to customers and prospects
  • Utilize our CRM and pipeline system to manage sales activities and track customer interactions
  • Develop and negotiate customized pricing contracts with customers
  • Communicate internally with Conner's purchasing, production, transportation, and accounting teams
  • Closing sales by telephone and face-to-face, traveling as needed
  • Manage account profitability and grow revenue and revenue base
  • Manage orders through production cycle and satisfy customer needs
Requirements
  • Demonstrated sales experience and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Self-starter and eager to learn, motivated by the hunt and a desire to improve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and give oral presentations to both small and large groups
  • Willing to travel; must have a dependable vehicle
  • Potentially relocate to develop new regions/markets
  • Experience in sales processes including cold calls, prospecting, target selling, and account management
  • Analytical thinker with a strong emphasis on data gathering and analysis
  • Energetic, organized with ability to manage a wide range of projects and priorities
  • Understand the importance of 'do what you say'
Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Coursework in business curriculum a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or other customer-facing roles
  • Sales experience in manufacturing or industrial preferred
  • Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite
