Job Title: Human Resources Manager

At Extang Corporation, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our team. This leadership role will partner with site leaders to develop actions and solutions regarding engagement, retention, talent development/training, and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and change initiatives to ensure the organization has the right people, right structure, and right processes to drive short and long-term business success.
  • Develop and implement plans and programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Partner with the leadership team and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
  • Serve as an HR business partner to the Manufacturing Site Leader and cross-functional leadership team at Extang.
  • Implement and communicate company-wide initiatives and changes.
  • Provide counsel on matters of employee and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Partner with leadership teams in developing, implementing, and tracking initiatives across the organization.
  • Manage and resolve associate relations issues.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure associates have the skills and resources they need to achieve their objectives.
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Lead, develop, engage, and maximize performance of a high-performing team.
  • Monitor critical HR KPIs and ensure action to mitigate areas of concern.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a high-performing team.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR team leadership in a manufacturing setting experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience establishing positive team engagement and retention strategies is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HRCI/SHRM certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including associates, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders, along with external partners through multiple forms of technology with telephone and computer. Must be able to receive and convey information.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the facility and office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer, etc., as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Work Environment:
  • Works in a typical manufacturing/production environment and at times may travel for business.
