Position Overview:

As the Batching Department Supervisor, you will lead your team in executing daily operational tasks. Your department is responsible for blending raw materials and delivering bulk products to the packaging area. Team members will handle food ingredients, adhere to recipes, maintain traceability, and operate various processing equipment while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup of the Ingredient Preparation and Batching areas.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations for timely delivery of raw materials.
  • Manage the preparation of raw materials, ensuring proper handling and training of team members.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and staging of materials for downstream processes.
  • Safely operate and train others on process equipment.
  • Lead sanitation efforts and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation for food safety and production tracking.
  • Identify and report any issues related to product quality or employee performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Encourage professional growth and development within the team.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in food processing, with 3-4 years in operating complex equipment.
  • 3-4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and some weekends.
  • Strong attendance and time management skills.
  • Proficient in following preparation instructions and maintaining focus on tasks.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Competent in basic math and technology use.
  • Ability to foster a respectful and collaborative workplace.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull heavy carts.
  • Capability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
