Position Overview:

As the Batching Department Supervisor, you will lead your team in executing daily operational tasks. Your department is responsible for blending raw materials and delivering bulk products to the packaging area. You will oversee the handling of food ingredients, adherence to recipes, documentation of traceability, and operation of various equipment while maintaining food quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the setup of the Ingredient Preparation and Batching areas.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations for timely delivery of raw materials.
  • Oversee the preparation of raw materials, ensuring proper handling and training of team members.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and staging of materials for downstream processes.
  • Safely operate and train others on process equipment.
  • Lead sanitation activities following production shifts.
  • Ensure efficient departmental operations and timely production.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation for food safety and quality.
  • Promote adherence to safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Identify and report any issues related to product quality or employee performance.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and effective communication within the team.
  • Foster opportunities for team member growth and development.
  • Demonstrate emotional stability and leadership in challenging situations.
  • Maintain consistent performance and communication standards.
  • Contribute actively to departmental goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in food processing, with 3-4 years in operating complex equipment.
  • 3-4 years of experience in team leadership and operations management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
  • Strong attendance and time management skills.
  • Proficient in following preparation instructions and maintaining focus on tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Competent in basic math and technology use.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and maintain a respectful workplace.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and manage heavy carts.
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
