Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing and directing the activities of staff responsible for worklife initiatives such as childcare, eldercare, parental needs, employee assistance, and employee health and wellness; employee benefits such as retirement, health insurance, life insurance, thrift savings plan, workers' compensation, and separation; and the development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining quality control throughout the Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of worklife and benefits programs.
  • Evaluate programs or office functions and recommend more efficient and effective policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate supervisory duties, including performance management, planning and allocating work, and assessing training needs for the staff.
  • Apply broad benefits human resources principles, practices, regulations, and policies.
Requirements

Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Experience providing leadership and overview of worklife and benefits programs.
  • Experience evaluating programs or office functions and recommending more efficient and effective policies and procedures.
  • Experience demonstrating supervisory duties, including performance management, planning and allocating work, and assessing training needs for the staff.
  • Experience in applying broad benefits human resources principles, practices, regulations, and policies.
