Senior Accounting Analyst (Finance Transformation)

The Position:

As a vital member of our Finance Transformation team, you will report directly to the Finance Transformation Lead. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with team members and stakeholders to evaluate, enhance, and implement processes and systems. You will work closely with various departments and senior management to facilitate finance transformation initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate existing processes, procedures, and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with partners to optimize workflows, eliminate redundancies, and enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings to ensure alignment among stakeholders regarding project objectives.
  • Oversee finance transformation projects, providing updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in technology assessments, migrations, data transfers, and system implementations.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for new processes and systems.
  • Create detailed finance integration plans for newly acquired entities.
  • Supervise finance integration efforts, including process alignment, technology migration, and training.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety in the workplace.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA certification required.
  • At least five years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting.
  • Experience in utility operations with knowledge of utility accounting and reporting.
  • Background in process improvement, automation, system implementations, and US GAAP.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong overall perspective.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • High ethical standards and values consistent with the organization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and teams.

Compensation: Competitive base salary range, commensurate with qualifications

Annual Incentive: 9.5% target for Level 3 employees
Actual payout based on performance. Targets may adjust annually.
