About the Role

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing financial reports, and providing recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, including FERC and regulatory reports.
  • Manage and analyze financial data, including general ledger accounts and financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means.
  • Knowledge of applicable Company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications.
  • General understanding of FERC Code of Regulations.
  • Experience in SAP Financial Systems modules.
  • General understanding of utility economics and accounting, as well as utility commission rules and regulations.
  • End-to-end knowledge of transmission transactional activities from source data to settlement.
  • General understanding of the transmission tariff and applicable provisions for financial settlement.
