As an Interim Business Analyst and Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing and Developing Solutions - Think critically

  • Independently gather requirements through interviews, workflow assessments, workshops, and surveys to create business process descriptions, requirements documentation, use cases, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with project team members (developers, architects, product owners) to define the technical vision and evaluate trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Analyze potential solutions against business requirements and financial implications to identify optimal solutions.
  • Engage actively with the client community (both internal and external) throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirement gathering to implementation.
  • Partner with internal business units to clarify information needs and translate them into suitable data solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis to thoroughly understand business data, facilitating effective collaboration with business users, analysts, and data owners.
  • Develop and validate source-to-target mappings and transformation logic to meet business requirements, emphasizing the importance of data lineage.
  • Manage project communications with leadership, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings effectively, ensuring a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with vendors to oversee deliverables and project timelines.
Testing and Troubleshooting - Emphasizing quality
  • Support quality assurance through the creation of test plans/scripts, collaboration with QA teams, and validation by project teams.
  • Act as a facilitator for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients, third-party vendors, or other testers, utilizing acceptance criteria established with business partners.
Collaboration - Building relationships
  • Consult and cultivate relationships with all client personnel to strengthen ties between the business and the IT department.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and deepen relationships.
Project Execution - Delivering results
  • Assist project managers in defining project milestones based on business needs, requirements, and defined solutions.
  • Facilitate project management responsibilities on smaller projects as needed, ensuring the right capabilities are included in the project team and scope.

What we seek:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of prior IT experience, including at least three (3) years in a related business analysis role.
  • A B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and comfort in an agile environment.
  • Strong background in writing business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Previous experience in data analysis, including writing SQL queries and interpreting results to address business inquiries and support client data needs.
  • Experience working on projects related to the development, support, and enhancement of web applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Motivated by achieving quick wins and driving process improvements.
