As a Temporary Business Analyst/Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis and Solution Development: Independently gather requirements through interviews, workflow assessments, workshops, and surveys to produce business process descriptions, requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside project team members (developers, architects, product owners) to define the technical vision and assess trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Solution Evaluation: Analyze potential solutions against business requirements and financial implications to identify the optimal approach.
  • Client Engagement: Actively engage with both internal and external clients throughout the project lifecycle, from requirement gathering to implementation.
  • Data Solutions: Partner with internal units to define information needs and translate them into effective data solutions. Conduct data analysis to understand business data and collaborate with users, analysts, and data owners.
  • Mapping and Transformation: Develop and validate source-to-target mappings and transformation logic to support business requirements, ensuring data lineage is captured.
  • Project Communication: Manage communications with leadership, stakeholders, and project teams. Facilitate effective project meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to oversee deliverables and project timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance through the creation of test plans/scripts, collaborating with QA teams, and validating results with project teams.
  • User Acceptance Testing: Facilitate UAT with clients and third-party vendors, utilizing acceptance criteria defined with business partners.
  • Relationship Building: Consult and develop relationships with client personnel to strengthen ties between business and IT.
  • Project Execution: Assist project managers in defining milestones based on business needs and requirements. Facilitate project management for smaller projects as necessary.

What we seek:

  • A minimum of seven years of IT experience, including at least three years in a business analysis role.
  • A degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and comfort in an agile environment.
  • Strong skills in writing business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Prior experience in data analysis, including writing SQL queries and interpreting results to address business inquiries and support client data needs.
  • Experience with projects related to the development, support, and enhancement of web applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
