Clinical Support Specialist for Mental Health

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with mental health needs.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will work under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs to perform various duties that support the treatment and care of psychiatric patients. Your tasks will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of patient care plans, as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient observations, progress, and any deviations from their plan of care.
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients, while promoting a calm and respectful environment.
- Participating in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as de-escalation techniques and patient safety.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in a mental health setting.
- A certificate in mental health technology or a related field, such as a licensed nursing assistant, is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association and completion of an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification within one month of hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and observation skills, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is $17.29 - $25.66 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
