Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join its interdisciplinary treatment team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide outpatient clinical and social work services, including psychosocial assessments, individual psychological assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, and participation on treatment teams. They will also understand relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system issues relevant to patient care in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
  • Prioritize excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources, regulatory standards, and case management principles to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), preferably in psychotherapy, medical crisis intervention, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Experience working with adults suffering from acute mental illness and substance abuse disorders is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of managed-care systems and their impact on patient care is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of NASW code of conduct principles, psychosocial assessments, and utilization management principles is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in individual and family supportive counseling and advocacy.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows desktop applications and navigation.
