The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Job Summary:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support in accordance with established methods and procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers with various duties, including observing patients, reporting concerns, and maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: Health or mental health care experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certificate in mental health technology or related field (e.g., licensed nursing assistant) preferred; BLS Certification through American Heart Association; completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and observation skills; ability to remain calm and think effectively in high-stress situations; strong verbal and written communication skills; moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $22.65 per hour, which translates to an annual salary of $47,110. Pay ranges from $18.35 to $27.23 per hour, with competitive differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
