Job Overview:

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Care Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Psychiatric Services Inpatient Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

About the Role:

This position involves working under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients. Your duties will include performing various tasks to support patient well-being, as per established methods and procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Health or mental health care experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • A Certificate in mental health technology or a related field, such as a licensed nursing assistant, is highly desirable.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification is required within one month of hire.

Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and observation skills. You must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, remain calm under pressure, and think critically in high-stress situations. Strong computer skills and the ability to complete functional testing for physical requirements are also essential.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $17.29 - $25.66 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This salary information is based on industry standards and location factors.
