Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DegreeWorks Analyst/Programmer II to join our team at North Carolina A&T State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining DegreeWorks, including upgrades, student education planner, and transfer equivalency. The position will also lead testing for all DegreeWorks-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and determine requirements, researching proprietary solutions, conducting process analysis and reengineering, testing applications, and debugging and resolving issues.
  • Develop custom solutions to address specific functional needs, interfaces to exchange data between applications, process automation, and operational reporting.
  • Work with the university's Banner enterprise resource planning (ERP) system as well as several additional enterprise and departmental applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other technical departments and may be engaged in data remediation and business intelligence projects.
About the Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar maintains the academic records of all students registered in the University and issues official transcripts and reports of such records. The office conducts the registration of all students in the University, prepares and publishes the class and examination schedules, and administers the faculty regulations relating to the removal of academic deficiencies incurred in this University and to compliance with probation and re-admission requirements.

Requirements
  • Masters degree and 1-2 years experience or bachelors degree and 2-4 years experience required.
  • Required experience includes designing, installing, testing, coding, and debugging ad hoc and/or managing existing applications, servers, and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of SQL, DegreeWorks, and other complex applications to meet functional requirements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of key business processes associated with the Office of the Registrar.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Banner Student Information System.
  • DegreeWorks experience.
  • Webfocus Reporting.
