Job Overview

Position Summary

K2 Staffing, LLC is seeking a skilled Helpdesk Support Level II professional. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of business desktop and server technologies, which should encompass: Windows 10 workstations, Windows Server 2016 & 2019, advanced networking, and vendor-specific hardware and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administering and configuring Windows Servers and Active Directory environments.
  • Designing and implementing Local Area Networks (LAN).
  • Overseeing and enhancing network security protocols.
  • Maintaining and optimizing network hardware and software components.
  • Establishing and deploying file servers and cloud-based solutions.
  • Setting up and managing VOIP systems.
  • Conducting troubleshooting for network infrastructure issues.
  • Managing Microsoft Exchange Server operations.
  • Providing telephone support solutions.
  • Monitoring alert systems and responding according to established protocols.
  • Utilizing event logs for effective troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Handling escalated service requests that require advanced technical responses.
  • Facilitating onboarding processes for new users.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in roles such as IT help desk, IT desktop support, IT support analyst, or IT service management.
  • Preferred certifications include:
    • CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+
      MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
  • Proficient in providing desktop and end-user support for both hardware and software.
  • Strong familiarity with common desktop applications, including MS Office Suite and Adobe products.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities across various operating systems, including Windows and MAC OSX.
  • Knowledgeable in Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Print Services, File Services, GPOs, and other standard Windows Server roles.
  • Experience with SaaS solutions like Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Background in network and firewall administration (Cisco, Sophos, SonicWall).
  • Understanding of server virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi; vCenter).
  • Solid grasp of system and application logs, along with performance monitoring tools.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, demonstrating a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to groups.
  • Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a significant advantage.
