Job Responsibilities:

The Territory Manager is responsible for cultivating new prospects and engaging with existing clients to enhance sales of products and services.

Key Duties Include:

  • Identifying suitable products or assisting clients in selecting products based on their requirements, product specifications, and relevant regulations.
  • Negotiating pricing, terms of sale, and service agreements.
  • Ensuring high levels of post-sales satisfaction by fostering positive, long-term relationships with clients, thereby enhancing the potential for repeat business.
  • Establishing account and territory plans on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
  • Primarily focusing on local market accounts and prospects, while potentially managing a limited number of key or named accounts.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to less experienced sales representatives as necessary.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is also necessary.

Strong relationship-building, listening, persuasion, negotiation, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of principles and methods for showcasing, promoting, and selling products or services is required, including marketing strategies, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Familiarity with customer service principles and processes is also important, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must. Intermediate industry and product knowledge is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
