The New York Red Bulls are one of 29 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

Job Purpose

The Senior Group Account Executive is directly responsible for generating group sales revenue on a year-round basis. This role will be accountable for a dynamic and proactive approach to group sales including outbound calls and face-to-face meetings. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to prospect and build a book of business in the local area consisting of businesses, youth soccer clubs, non-profit organizations, and other entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive group sales revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business owners, youth soccer club directors, and non-profit executives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local area.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to inform sales strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of ticket sales experience preferably in the sports industry.
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of the New York/New Jersey youth soccer landscape is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Committed to success and the sports industry with a desire to aggressively compete within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Comfort and experience working with various levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including all Red Bulls home matches, some nights, and weekends.
  • Travel 0-10%.
