As a full-time Outpatient Pharmacy Manager at our Specialty Central Fill location, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Prior Authorization and Specialty Benefit Investigation Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:
    Provide direction for all Outpatient Pharmacy services, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for:
    • Fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
    • Effectively managing resources and balancing priorities.
    • Setting short and long-term objectives aligned with departmental goals.
    • Creating a safe and engaging work environment.
    • Maintaining professional competency as a pharmacist.
  • Patient Care and Satisfaction:
    Engage with patients and their families in a compassionate and informative manner. Responsibilities include:
    • Ensuring confidentiality and dignity for all patients.
    • Acting as a consultant for patients and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Responding empathetically to the needs of patients and staff.
  • Employee Engagement:
    Regularly communicate with staff to enhance relationships and improve workplace satisfaction. This includes:
    • Highlighting the importance of patient satisfaction and quality care.
    • Analyzing employee feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborating with staff to develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Establish and refine processes within the department. Key tasks involve:
    • Sharing performance data with staff to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Managing team performance in alignment with service excellence goals.
    • Addressing patient complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Current PA Pharmacist licensure (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution (Required)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail, Specialty, or Ambulatory Care Pharmacy, including prior management experience.
