Penn Medicine is currently seeking a full-time Outpatient Pharmacy Manager for its Specialty Central Fill division to oversee the Prior Authorization and Specialty Benefit Investigation Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • **Leadership:**
    Provide direction for all Outpatient Pharmacy services, including retail and specialty pharmacy operations. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and foster a culture of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • **Patient Care Excellence:**
    Engage with patients and their families in a compassionate and informative manner, maintaining confidentiality and dignity at all times.
  • **Employee Development:**
    Conduct regular meetings with staff to enhance communication and build strong working relationships. Analyze employee satisfaction metrics to identify areas for improvement and collaborate on actionable plans.
  • **Operational Management:**
    Establish and refine processes within the department, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Manage team performance to uphold the organization's commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications:

  • **Licensure:**
    Must possess a valid PA Pharmacist license (Required).
  • **Education:**
    Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution (Required). A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or ambulatory care pharmacy management is preferred.
