Position Overview:
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing pharmacy staff, operational workflows, and resource management to achieve optimal performance and enhance employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the effective management of pharmacy personnel and operations to ensure a high level of service delivery.
- Continuously evaluates pharmacy processes to foster a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Provides strategic leadership for the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical services.
- Oversees the IV admixture services, ensuring adherence to all operational and regulatory guidelines.
- Develops and revises policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Regularly monitors workflow and implements strategies for ongoing improvement while maintaining a focus on workplace safety.
Must complete and maintain all required competencies and training for the role.
Doctorate Degree or a combination of relevant education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a Doctorate Degree.
Professional Experience:
Experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
Proven track record in hospital pharmacy operations, including leading initiatives and projects.
Experience in sterile IV compounding.
Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience.
Licensure:
Must possess a valid PA Pharmacist License.
