Role Summary
The Senior HR Strategic Partner is a pivotal member of our Human Resources team, reporting directly to the Senior AVP of Human Resources. This role is designed to provide both strategic and operational HR support to the organization. Our team implements industry-leading HR practices that promote a proactive approach to challenges, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior AVP of Human Resources to cultivate an atmosphere of open communication, productive relationships, diversity appreciation, and recognition of high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the performance review process and related metrics.
  • Provide coaching and support to management on employee-related issues, including performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct internal investigations concerning employee grievances and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Manage the Workers' Compensation program and identify relevant programs to minimize costs.
  • Administer required employee medical assessments.
  • Act as the company representative for workers' compensation claims.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding, ensuring compliance with employment practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions for employees and supervisors on various HR topics.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including data collection for open enrollment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee records and ensure compliance with document retention policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • SHRM or HRCI HR certifications are advantageous.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state HR compliance and legal standards.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in managing HR systems, including policy administration and performance management.
  • Experience in safety management and payroll/benefits administration is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in coaching supervisors on employment-related matters.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethical practices, and cost management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in business matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with INFOR and ADP is a plus.
