Overview of the Position

Quanta Services

The Project Coordination Specialist will provide assistance and support to the Project Manager (PM) on various project-related tasks as designated, ensure timely follow-up on project deliverables, and collaborate closely with the PM. Responsibilities may involve managing multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to project-specific duties, the Project Coordination Specialist may contribute to other project and proposal initiatives or engage in rotations with different operational support teams.

Compensation:

This is a salaried, exempt position. The salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience and location.

Location and Travel Requirements: This role is based in a designated location with travel required to various project sites as necessary. Following the completion of current assignments, the position may involve travel to multiple locations as dictated by project needs.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist the PM in formulating the initial project timeline in collaboration with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management teams.

• Engage in value engineering and feasibility assessments.

• Collaborate with procurement to establish subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedule documentation for PM review.

• Partner with the Health and Safety Manager on all safety-related matters, including the creation and execution of project-specific safety protocols, incident reporting, and supporting incident investigations.

• Aid the PM in managing the project timeline and contribute to the preparation of monthly project review documents for the project management team and senior leadership.

• Provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative project deliverables.

• Assist in the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract agreements.

• Monitor the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.

• Facilitate project close-out and warranty management.

• Conduct post-construction cost analysis and reporting, and participate in lessons learned sessions.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the PM, including stepping in as PM when necessary and qualified.

• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

• Manage field documentation.

• Generate daily progress reports.

• Capture progress photographs.

• Participate in value engineering and feasibility assessments.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in Design-Build/EPC projects within the power delivery sector; must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of materials, methods, and equipment utilized in transmission, distribution, and substation operations. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Proficient in project management software, with a preference for Primavera 6. Familiarity with technology and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and other relevant software). Effective management and supervisory capabilities. High ethical standards and integrity are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Valid and active driver's license.
