Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess project drawings, specifications, and documentation to guarantee compliance with established standards.
  • Manage capital projects by facilitating meetings with various stakeholders, including users, consultants, and contractors, while translating project needs into effective design programs.
  • Conduct on-site project administration, participating in regular progress meetings and ensuring contractor compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide in-office support by advising contractors and project teams on quality, scheduling, and coordination with other departments; review contractor submissions and respond to inquiries.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, communicating project status to internal and external parties.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with project goals.
  • Administer contracts with consultants and construction teams, overseeing project procedures and conducting formal bid openings.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies involved in the construction process.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, AND:

  • A minimum of 24 months of experience in commercial or institutional construction or architectural/engineering design.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to coordinate and align the objectives of multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, bend, stand, and lift heavy objects. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and manage stressful situations while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience in commercial/institutional construction administration.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience in architectural or engineering project management.
  • Experience managing major capital projects valued at $25 Million or more is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid is a plus.
