Position Overview
As the Facilities and Security Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic initiatives of the physical security and facilities department. Your primary focus will be on the daily management and upkeep of the organization's owned and leased properties, vehicles, furnishings, equipment, and associated service providers. This role also serves as a vital support to the Manager of Security & Facilities, acting as the initial contact for facilities personnel and departmental inquiries regarding security and facility requirements, including access control, security footage retrieval, and incident documentation. You will provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to the facilities team.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and budgetary aspects concerning facilities management and maintenance of the organization's properties, vehicles, furnishings, equipment, and service providers. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on construction projects, equipment upkeep, space utilization, and design considerations. Serve as the primary contact for routine facility requests and be available for after-hours emergencies. Provide coverage for Courier and Maintenance Coordinator roles as necessary. Assist in research related to market expansion and budget preparation for facility projects. Escalate any risks or facility-related concerns to leadership. Review and authorize invoices and expenditures.

- Ensure security oversight and foster a safe environment for employees, volunteers, members, and the public. Implement physical security strategies and assist in developing risk assessments, policies, procedures, and action plans to mitigate security risks. Investigate and process insurance claims for security incidents, identify emerging threats, and consistently report findings to management. Support the development and facilitation of security training programs. Respond to security-related inquiries from staff and various departments. Conduct research on security equipment and projects. Act as a backup Incident Response Coordinator and security officer.

- Assist leadership in the recruitment and selection process by participating in interviews and providing constructive feedback. Identify training needs for new and existing junior staff members. Help plan, assign, and oversee tasks for junior personnel. Provide performance feedback to leadership on a monthly basis and during annual reviews. Contribute to the planning and execution of team meetings.

- Manage oversight of third-party security and facility service providers, engaging with vendors regularly to ensure compliance with service level agreements and performance standards. Maintain an inventory of security and facilities equipment to anticipate future replacement needs. Make recommendations and escalate issues to leadership as required.

- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management or physical security/safety, preferably within the financial sector.

Education / Certifications / Licenses
Completion of an Associate's degree in criminal justice or business management is required (additional years of experience may substitute for educational requirements). A valid driver's license is mandatory.
